The Trillium

The Trillium is a wild flower. Its scientific name is Trillium ovatum. This plant has white to pink oval petals with three oval sharp pointed green leaves. Trilliums can be found from Monterey California North to British Columbia. It grows in low forest areas in shadowy places. It blooms in the springtime from March through June. The seeds take two winters to sprout.
