The Candy Flower

The Candy Flower's scientific name is Montania sibirica. It grows from a seed. Its stem has two leaves that are pointed and oval shaped. This is a white flower with thin pink veins. The petals are notched tipped and 1/4-1/2 inch long. This wild flower is an annual with one growing season. It usually grows in shaded moist wooded wooded areas. it blooms any time during the summer. The unbloomed flowers can be eaten. They are the mildest and the most tender. The Candy Flower is also known as Miner's Lettuce.
