Salmon Creek United Methodist Curch was built in 1900. The group, which
already started the chapel, came from the Oregon Trail. They came in Nov
6,1852. The first minister to preach in the church was Reverend James Garrish.
In 1952, the original Ponieer chapel was moved next to highway 99. It was
completely restored. It is used every Sunday for special occasions like
weddings and the Midnight Candle light Christmas service.
