The Marshall House was built in 1886. 
It was built because married
officers had to have their families with them. The 8,000 square foot house
is a Queen Anne victorian style. It was used for fancy parties in the 1880's
and 1890's. Now the Marshall House is the local office for Governor Mike
Lowry. It is decorated with antiques and is open to the public during the
week and some weekends. It can be rented for parties or meetings. The house
was named after George C.
Marshall.
