Grant House

The Grant house is the oldest house on Officer's Row. The Grant House started out as a log cabin in 1849 when Fort Vancouver Barracks was built. It was an officer`s club and the commander's house. Later, they covered the logs with white boards. Today it is a restaurant and an art museum.
Ulysses S. Grant was a graduate of West Point.
He was the 18th President.
