Bridges

Suspension

Suspension bridges go across the longest distances. Suspension bridges have three parts: anchorages, towers, and cables. Some stand about 700 feet away from the water.

Arch

Arch bridges can go greater distances than the beam and truss bridges. Arch bridges can be made out of stone, brick, timber, cast iron, steel, plain concrete, and reinforced concrete. Most kinds are made of steel, reinforced concrete, and timber.
