Yacolt City Hall and Jail

by Casey (age 9) and Eric (age 10)

The Yacolt City Hall was built in 1912. It was built out of brick so if another forest fire came it wouldn't burn.

Because Yacolt was so far from any other town, they had their own court and jail house.

Today the jail cells are used for storage.

The lock was used to keep the safe shut.
