Chief Factor's House
The Chief Factor 's house was also called The Manager's Residence, The
Big House, The Governor's House, McLoughlin's House, and The Doctor's House.
The building was finished in 1836. When the fire happened the original house
was destroyed. Very little was known about the house. The house had ten
rooms. Dr. John McLoughlin
had 15 kids. Six of them lived to be teenagers. Nine of them died. The picture
below shows the office.
