Its scientific name is Phlox diffusa. Its flowers are white, pink, pale blue, or violet. It grows on dry ground, especially in alpine areas and also in the Eastern Cascades. They live in areas that many plants could not live in. Where they live are dry spots in areas where a lot of rain falls.
