The Lupine

The Lupine is part of the pea family. The Lupine can change its color to blue, purple, and white. The leaves on a Lupine have several narrow leaflets. And they are all attached to the same leaf point. The scientific name is Lupinus latifohlius. The Lupine lives in North America,and sometimes in other places. The Lupine is a non-edible plant. It If you ate it you will get sick. Sometimes you can see the Lupine from a mile away!! The Romans named the Lupine after wolves ("Lupine" means "of wolves" or "wolflike.") It grows in spring and summer.
